Would you be surprised if I told you that we’re reviewing yet another Temple Run clone? How about if I told you that it’s Freemium? So you might be harder to surprise than I thought…anyways here’s exactly that. Crazy Boss.

This time around you’re not jumping through the Amazon (no…not amazon.com) or trying to survive a apocalyptic world. Instead you take control of a woman who’s being chased by her boss and must leave work before she gets mandatory overtime. This sounds amusing right? In theory yes…but Crazy Boss completely misses the mark.

While the camera angle of this endless chaser reflects Temple Run, the controls are changed up a bit. Sure you can swipe your finger up to jump but the titling aspect to move side from side is now replaced with side swiping. I now have the unfortunate task of breaking some more bad news to you. This control scheme not only dumbs down the gameplay, but Crazy Boss can’t even get this easier control scheme down. Instead the controls are less than responsive making this one of the worst clones (or games for that matter) that we’ve gotten our hands on.

If you can get past the horrendous controls (there’s two control schemes and they are like worse and worserer) you will be welcomed with some of the most boring environments…like ever. All of the cubicles look the same, same goes for everything else from coworkers to the hundredth trashcan that you jump over. While Crazy Boss could have been a very amusing take on this genre it’s brought down by its own boringness.

The Bottom Line: 2/10 (Terrible)

If you can manage to overlook the abysmal controls you’ll only be welcomed with an environment that manages to be even more boring than a real office environment. Avoid at all costs…even at the cost of it being free.
