Purchase Game $0.99 About our AppStore Bite Articles

When it comes to iOS shooters, developers either get everything right and hit it out of the park or their attempts fall flat as a pancake. Knowing that Triniti Interactive usually brings a great experience I jumped onboard with WarCorps: Genesis within minutes of its release on the iTunes AppStore.

Sometimes I like to sum up a game in a  word or two so my blunt to-the-point review with WarCorps: Genesis is–Sheer Disappointment. It’s those two words that sums up almost every aspect. The AI is easily notable as some of the worst AI that I’ve encountered in some time. More often than not the enemies can be defeated by standing around a corner. Wait for them to round the corner and shoot ‘em. Or what if they’re in front  of you but standing  a good distance? Shoot them and watch them get hit but not move. That’s right they don’t even run away, they just stand there and receive the punishment of bullets hitting them. It’s that bad. Fortunately WarCorps: Genesis makes up for the AI  with  multiplayer…Oh wait, there isn’t any so you’re stuck shooting at some of the lamest AI to (dis)grace the iTunes AppStore.

The lame Ai wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t for all of WarCorps: Genesis other shortcomings. Bland environments tend to blend in with one another made worse with the repetitive missions that rely heavily on additional IAP in later stages. While there’s more disappointing factors that I could point out, I’ll leave it with the only positive comment that comes to mind. It doesn’t crash.

The Bottom Line: 2/10 (Terrible)

WarCorps: Genesis in easily one of the worst shooters out there so finding anything better will not be an issue. Avoid at all costs and save yourself the buck as well as your time.
