I’ve been craving a portable Diablo-like experience for sometime now. Some titles have been released such as Gameloft’s Dungeon Hunter, but never managed to scratch my gaming itch. My itch is now scratched with ORC: Vengeance an addictive game that’ll surely cause a divorce or two.
The story is lame, so I’m going to skip it. In the end who really cares about the story lets get to the action. ORC: Vengeance brings the addictive grinding combat I’ve been craving. Throughout this invigorating experience, you’ll need to fend off waves of enemies that vary from appearance and attacks. Of course the further you progress, you’ll be fighting in new locations and best of all…is that everything is beautifully done from the amazing spell affects to navigating throughout the world.
I am so happy, as well as relieved, to say that the controls are phenomenal. The controls are streamlined and all done by tapping or swiping on the screen. This minimal control scheme is precise and gives you all the control you’ll need to create your strategy in the overwhelming intense battles. I can’t stress enough how well implemented this control scheme is.
Now lets talk about your character. Your Orc is a warrior–period. There’s no mage class, rogue, or anything else like that. Zip, nadda. As I said your Orc is a warrior and that’s that. No, you don’t have the option of choose your fighting class but there’s lots of loot and customization. ORC: Vengeance has so much loot! You’ll be collecting weapons and gold everywhere. All the loot and weapons enable you to somewhat create your own warrior. Then there’s the character customization that happens when you level up. You can level up your attack, defense, greed and vengeance. So overall even though there’s little customization (and I’m left wanting more) there are options to help mold your orc to your fighting style.
