Countless platformers have leaped their way onto the iOS, most of them abandoning controls that are best suited for the iPhone and iPad. The majority of the virtual controls in these games stall the enjoyment. Nibble Jump on the other hand embraces a control method (tilting) that’s more suitable for these devices.

Nibble Jump is a platformer with cute graphics with you controlling a little hoping rabbit through bite size stages. In order to beat each stage you’ll need to tilt your iPhone (or any other iOS device) to move your constantly jumping bunny from platform to platform all while collecting veggies and avoiding hazards. This easy to grasp control scheme along with the shortness of each level is great for gaming on the go.

In each stage you must collect carrots and hidden watermelons to get the highest score possible. The levels grow in complexity as new platforming elements such as moving platforms and spikes ramp up the challenge. There are other special abilities such as floating your bunny in a bubble. While Nibble Jump is never overly challenging, it can pose a challenge for new gamers and fortunately you’re allowed to die an infinite amount of times which will curb frustration.

The Bottom Line: 6.5/10

Nibble Jump has fun level layouts as well as a few special abilities that brings a pretty decent platforming experience.
